First for us was Solstice.

Then the hectic but joyful Christmas rounds.
My 10-yr-old grandson was clearly paying attention when I was showing off and carrying on about the books and boxes I learned to make from Randi Parkhurst.  This is what he made me for Christmas!  I'm thrilled!
Now some fun days off with the husband and friends--and then--Onward and Upward!  Have a great end of 2014, a great start to 2015--and be sure to check out that workshop we are having in June!

Making books is the perfect art form for a Biblioholic/Gemini/Scanner like me.  I have the perfect excuse to learn an infinite number of media and techniques, because I can use most anything in a book!  Learning is fun for me, so I go to as many workshops as I can, and take online courses, and watch you-tube--and of course, buy lots of books.  Then comes experimenting and mixing and matching.  It just doesn't get any better than that.

Perhaps one day I will find my niche and have a distinct style.  Probably not.

Meanwhile, the WIP pile up and some lovely and satisfying pieces get finished, and I get to learn more and more.

My plan for this blog is to share ideas and gurus and process and product.  And there will be LOTS of pictures--because that is the most fun.

For no particular reason, I'll start with the book that is on the head banner--because it's got lots of bits.

The book is about 2" high by 2 1/2" wide and about 3/4" thick

    About me

Retirement from a long and lovely career in midwifery brought me TIME--time to drop pretty much full time into making art.
